The following is a list of accomplishments that have occurred during the last few years that were initiated and/or supported by both men, as well as the third Select Board member, Frank Day.

1. Brought town up to Federal A.D.A. standards, avoiding a costly lawsuit.
2. Replaced unsafe playground using funds from the surplus account as approved by voters at 2025 Annual Meeting; Article 23.
3. Formed Community Resilience Committee who obtained $74k grant to install mini-splits in Town office & Rec Building.
4. Worked with Comprehensive Plan Committee to address plan goals & obtain a $100k Enterprise Grant for improvements at Community Center.
5. Completed overdue interior renovation of Town Office including A.D.A. compliance requirements.
6. Improved taxpayer and visitor communication through new town website, Facebook page and electronic sign.
7. Ensured that town audits were brought up to date which had not been done for years.

The petitioners have provided no evidence to support claims of impropriety.

If this recall passes, these two experienced SB members will immediately be relieved of their SB duties, and a special (costly) election (as required by State Statute) must be scheduled within 60 days to elect two candidates to fill the SB openings. During this time, ALL financial and administrative decisions affecting Brownfield matters, will be the sole responsibility of the one remaining inexperienced member of Brownfield's Select Board.

At the July 7, 2026 Select Board meeting, Frank Day, who served on the SB with Rick & Brian, was asked if he was aware of any improprieties committed by them. This was his answer:

"I didn't sign the petition. I didn't have any reason to speak up and say something was going wrong. I don't know exactly the reasoning behind the petition; I know there's a bunch of different things." and "If I had known something, I'd have said something".Full video here.
